You have to make sure that there is no underlying illness. See a neurologist and an infectious disease specialist to rule out infections.A DNA PCR on the spinal fluid would be worth the effort . Excess hormones may also cause panic attacks. Herbs like Siberian Ginseng(a single dose is usually sufficient) or others like ashwagandha, gotu kola, passion flower, lemon balm etc are useful under the guidance of a herbalist. Obstructed perspiration can also cause panic attacks and hyssop might be useful.Losing weight and a light vegetarian lifestyle might lessen symptoms.Salads, especially Romaine lettuce calms the nerves. Some recent research regarding the bodys inability to process vitamins b-6, b-12 and folic acid is being studied.
