Home Remedies for Dysuria
Home remedies for dysuria include usage of coriander, cardamom powder, carrot juice, ginger, wheat and barley, plenty of water in different forms. Dysuria is a pain or difficulty caused while urination. One of the symptoms of dysuria can be the burning sensation while urination. It can be due to bacterial infection of the urinal tract in women, it may reflect as inflammation of the vagina. It can also be a result of certain medication. However, it can occur to both men and women in the age group of 18-50 years. Precautions need to be taken to avoid dysuria.
As per the studies, 30% of the population suffers from Dysuria, which is also known as painful urination according to Mayoclinic and ClevelandClinic, and is very common amongst young and middle age people. More than men, it has been found that women are prone to dysuria. Every woman suffers by dysuria at least once in a lifetime. The most common reason can be the bacterial infection or the sexual traits. Dysuria is a not a disease in itself, but just a symptom which leads to different diseases. It also differs from the gender and the origin.
The main causes of dysuria can be different for women compared to that of men. For women, it can be due to hard products used on vagina which results into infection or irritation. If not cured at the right time, it can further lead to other diseases. Poor hygiene habits can also be the cause of dysuria, so it is very important for females to keep their vagina clean and be habitual to hygienic activities.
Men can suffer with dysuria too, due to vigorous sex. They need to take proper care of their penis and cleanliness is a must. Some of the symptoms can be pain while urinating, foul smell of urine, dark coloured urine. At times, people suffering with dysuria may find sexual intercourse very painful. It usually gives a burning sensation while urinating. Dysuria may also affect bladder and kidneys of men. It can lead to serious problems, if the blood is expelled while urinating and such a symptom needs immediate medical attention. Make sure that treatment is done immediately to avoid further complications as it can be hazardous.
The home remedies for dysuria should be effective at an early stage, but if it is a continuous problem, it is better to consult a specialised doctor. Some of the home remedies for dysuria are as follows:
- Water: Regular intake of water is very important and it helps in curing dysuria by increased drain of urine, thus making the internal system clean. Make sure to consume at least 3-4 liters of water every day.
- Carrot: Drink carrot juice at least once in a day, as it helps the flow of urine thus reducing the pain and burning sensation. Intake of carrot juice in the mornings is recommended.
- Ginger: A ginger paste in mild milk once in a day can also help prevent dysuria. If you do not like the intake of milk, you can try ginger paste along with honey as well. But make sure the intake of this mixture is not more than once in a day.
- Butter Milk: It is the best and the simplest remedy for dysuria. For better results, one can add black pepper powder or cumin seeds powder to a glass of buttermilk and have at regular intervals. 2 to 3 times a day is recommended.
- Cardamom: Cardamom powder along with mild or lukewarm milk can also help prevent dysuria. It helps reduce the pain originated and gives relief to the patient.
- Coriander: Mash coriander seeds and boil in water for about 5 minutes. Strain it and have between your meals but not immediately before or after your meal. Keep a gap of at least 2 hrs. One can also make use or coriander leaves if seeds are not available.
There are few things which should be taken care of while suffering from dyspepsia:
- Spicy and oily food should be completely avoided specially at dinner time.
- Excessive alcohol, smoking or intake of caffeine should be avoided.
