Home remedies for fester include usage of chamomile tea, green tea, fenugreek, honey, garlic, onions, salty water and several other products in different forms. These are some of the products which can reduce fester or rather help the wound heal faster. Fester is yellow white pus which develops in the wound due to bacterial infection. There are many home remedies which can be helpful in drying these wound by removing the pus. These remedies can also be used for acne problems generally, which are common among teenagers. If the wound is kept open, it is bound to get affected, thus developing fester. So one should avoid keeping wounds open.

Fester is a wound containing pus, a white yellow thick fluid in the wounds, according to National Skin Care Institute. Usually one can experience this on any part of the body. If the wound is not given proper attention, pus develops due to bacteria. Bacteria affect the wound, thus making it worse, which takes a lot of time to heal. The wound should be properly cleaned using dettol and should always be covered, so that bacteria cannot attack it.

As per the studies, any wound which is due to accidents or pollution can result into fester. Usually, if the wound is not attended immediately, it is bound to be attacked by bacteria thus producing pus, says National Institute of Health. Several home remedies can help dry the wound and a medical treatment can cure the wound. These are tried and tested methods used since generations and have been proved beneficial. If fester is not attended immediately, it can worsen the wound.

Home remedies for treatment of fester include:

  • Chamomile Tea: It is an herb which has a number of anti-inflammatory properties. One can use the chamomile leaves, grind the seeds and apply the paste on the wound. Usage of concoction of seeds and boiling water is also a cure. Dip a cloth into this water and leave it on the wound for an hour. It will dry the wound, thereby obviating chances of developing pus.
  • Fenugreek: Fenugreek is usually used to treat arthritis. However, it can be very helpful as an herb for curing lot of ailments. Grind fenugreek seeds finely and make a paste of it. Apply this paste on the wound and it would work like a magic.
  • Honey: It is not necessary to apply honey directly on the wound. Just the intake of honey can help cure fester to a great extent. Honey is considered to be the natural treatment for any kind of ailments.
  • Green Tea: Green tea works naturally. Just have green tea twice a day and you can see the difference. It naturally cures the ailments.
  • Olive Oil: Olive oil can also do wonders. Just apply olive oil and massage after a hot shower or bath else one can also make use of olive oil in the bathing water.
  • Salty Water: One can also apply salty water on the wound and it will help dry the pus. Try this 3-4 times in a day.
  • Onions: Onions are considered to be very warm as they are heat producers. Chop the onions or make an onion paste and apply on the wound. Leave for around 5-6 hours. It will squeeze the pus out of the wound, thus leaving it dry and helping it to heal faster.
  • Garlic: Garlic is also a super natural herb. Make garlic paste and apply on the wound and leave for few hours. One might feel the irritation or itching for a few minutes, but it helps kill bacteria. Soon you would notice that the pus has been dried which in turn will help healing the wound.
  • Fluids: Drink a lot of water or fresh fruits juices. It helps cleanse the internal system and washes away the dirt inside the body. In turn, this helps dry the fester and cure the wound.

Please avoid using essential oil, while you are suffering from fester. Also make sure peanuts are used in minimal quantity.
