Hi Monicah,

Please consult your doctor.

What is the reason for feeding the baby with lot of potato? And how much potato do you give to the baby daily?

Normally eating potato does not lead to obesity, if you eat it in a controlled amount and without much oils. Fried potatoes are bad because of the oil in it.

But take care to provide a complete nutritional diet to the baby. Babies require numerous nutrients for their growth and feeding too much potatoes can lead to defficiency of certain nutrients.

Regards,
Kiran

Having read the info on potatoes then I,m guessing that spuds are OK so long as they are not fried, cooked in oils or soaked in butter..? Or over indulged by eating too many because they are high in calories..? In small amounts then, cooked naturally, they are quite nutritional..?

Better to go with a sweet Potato. They are highly nutritious! Yam\'s are similar to sweet potatoes, but lack in nutritional value. I microwave them, then smash them and add a tiny amount of butter and then I put pancake syrup over them. They are delicious. They make me sleep well too.

Flour? in a potato? None. flour is a grain and is processed to look the way it does. Flour is not a good source of any nutritional value.
