Hi Liraya,

We at Organic Facts believe in providing unbiased information to the viewers. So far, there is no scientific proof showing that organic honey is better than conventional honey.

Also, if you are not habbituated to drinking raw milk, then you may have problems digesting it.

Milk with honey

Bravo for your comments regarding the health benefits of honey and milk. I highly recommend this delicious and healthy drink (who ever said something good for you has to taste unpleasant?) to anyone considering a healthier lifestyle. About six months ago I began including this drink in my daily diet and have noticed a marked difference in my mood. Whereas coffee usually would leave me feeling jittery and wanting more to achieve the same effect, milk with honey always leaves me feeling energetic and eager to face the day. I prefer to have it cold in the morning; at night I'll drink it warm. And did I forget to mention it also helps me to sleep wonderfully (all these benefits I\'ve been able to get and hope anyone reading this and trying will be able to reap the same)?

For all the above mentioned quires, it\'s best if all consume one tablespoon honey along with warm milk before bed time. This really helps achive a much needed sleep to all along with faster metabolism.

Honey with lemon ever day immediately upon waking up in the morning, will definetly workout for cleaner movement of bowels / stools. But still always take the measurement of honey and make sure proper utlization is conducted.

I have been in this continous process & it works miracle irrespective of different body types. Finally, please ensure that proper food is consumed. Not junk food all times.

weight control

It amazes me how many people don\'t understand how their bodies work with respect to food and their weight or simply ignore it. It is simple: eat more calories than you expend in a day and it will get converted to extra weight (fat), and vice versa. Is it \'weight\' that you want to lose or is it really the fat that you are trying to shed?

First of all, it is important that one maintains a good exercise regimen and healthy diet. These are _musts_ and work hand in hand. I found myself getting overweight last year (outright fat, not the weight measurement on a scale). My waist was starting to get to the 36\" mark and I am only 5\'8\". I decided to do something about it by drastically changing my dieting habits and employing a tough exercise regimen. 4.5 months later, my waist was down to 29\" and I was well on my way to getting my 8 pack abs. Mind you, I am 40 years old. I am probably now in better shape than I was when I was 21!

On the flip side, when trying to gain weight, one is trying to gain muscle weight, not fat weight. This is done by stressing the muscular system so that it triggers the body\'s regenerative abilities to repair itself with better and hopefully more muscle. This can only be done with proper exercise - aerobic and/or anaerobic.

Whether you are trying to gain weight or lose weight, it is important to have a good metabolism. Eating good food(s) alone will not do this. Yes, some foods promote a higher metabolism such as drinking fair quantities of Oolong (Wu Long) or green tea. However, it is by employing serious exercise, and proper cardiovascular exercise in particular, that will change your metabolism and transform you into the you that you are looking to be.

Concerning constipation...I eat a lot of dried plums (prunes). They are very good for you: loaded with antioxidants and high in soluble fiber. I also find that eating a lot raw carrots the day/night before does a good job of keeping me regular.

I do not rely on honey to lose or gain weight. Honey has good antioxidant and antiseptic properties though. I tend to stay away from a lot of bad carbs such as processed sugar and I try to substitute them with honey if possible. (Although, I am not an advocate of eating a lot of sweet things unless they are good fruits. Even then, too much of anything [good] can be bad.) A spoonful of honey shortly before my cardio workout also helps give me a boost. I also like to give my unsweetened probiotic yogurt some flavor with a little honey.

My dear friend, Honey and milk combination cannot help much for gaining weight. You should go for a high protien diet. Best way to gain wait would be to include soya food (nutrela) in your diet. One can have it twice or thrice in a week. If included in dinner you can gain weight around 18-20 kgs within 6-8 months.

Milk is never a good remedy

Most civilizations consumed goat milk. COW milk especially in USA is considered by most health experts to be toxic to the body. It also has identical IGF-1 growth hormone, which means little Johnny will look like a man at age 14 and little Suzie will look like a woman at age 12. Growth hormone in excess of what your body creates also excels cancer tumor growth - keep that in mind.

To assume that milk (a growth product from another animal)will help a human beings health is just not true. The benefits do not outweigh the negative. A beer has health benefits but I am not going to recommend anyone drink it as such.

Age old good habits still work - Eating as much fresh vegetables and fruits, few healthy unmolested grains/nuts and minimal animal meat products with an active lifestyle clean air and lots of clean water is still the best way to be healthy. Stay away from milk completely for just a week and see what happens. Remember to check labels for milk products such as caseinate and certain whey proteins not isolated.

Change your perceptions. Think dead food vs living food which will stimulate and energize your cells? Think low glycemic, not low carb. Think \"Source of protein\" not amount of protein.

Stay away from too many things that say \"fortified\", \"homogenized\" or \"pasteurized\". These should be the key words you read and avoid as these are dead foods and labeled as such.

Its not milk - Its USA

Mr. Joe, you should know by now that any product is as good as the raw material it is made from. In other words, if illegitimate means are used to produce more milk (like US dairy farmers do), the quality of milk will be affected. The gallon of milk you guys buy at a store is not just milk its milk + additives. Regular (pure) milk cannot survive for 2 weeks even in refrigerated environment and typical gallon of US milk has expiration date of about 2 weeks from the day its put on shelf.

Milk is very good for health and it can be converted into different milk products like yogurt, butter, buttermilk, cheese, etc that provide different health benefits in their pure forms (without added US chemicals). Well, Mr. Joe, you wouldn\'t know that until you experience pure milk manufactured by cows that are fed pure green plants which are raised using natural water (rain or ground water).

Benefits of milk cannot be challenged at any stage of life. Milk is beneficial to bones, digestive system, etc.

Please do not even bother about reading comments from Mr. Joe, people like him end up with one pill everyday to even survive (vitamin pills, calcium pills, etc etc).

Drink milk, stay healthy.

If you want more info, search the internet [I don\'t get paid to direct people to any particular site].

Weight - Gain or Loose ?

Shivika,
I am not a diet expert but I have used a technique with which I am able to gain or loose weight. My technique is monitoring everyday diet. Write down everything that you eat from morning till night (don\'t guess this, write it as you eat each meal or snack). Now, if you want to gain weight increase your diet by one and a half (1 1/2) times your original diet (this might need some workout because you won\'t be able to digest enough before next meal, exercising once a day would be enough, jumping, rope skipping, light jogging... exercises with vigourous body movement). Keep this diet for about a month and then try increasing again. You will start to see the difference in about 2 months.

Lazy weight gain starts at belly. If you really are looking for fuller body then you need to indulge in proper workout otherwise you will gain weight, for sure, but it will not be \"beautiful\" weight.

In you questions above, just one particular type of diet will not help you gain weight. You must increase the amounts of your current diet to gain weight.

Have fun.

will milk and honey make you fat

The answer is it depends on what else you\'ve had all day.
If you stick to high veggie and fruit diet no you won\'t gain weight.
But if your eating sweets and cakes and high fat meats and chocolate yes you will put on weight with drinking that. Also if you put too much honey and whole milk yes but low fat or no fat milk with honey is not going to make you gain weight. Its all in moderation. Don\'t go nuts with the drinking it or the honey and you will be fine.

It makes you hungry if you haven\'t BEEN eating. Like, if you\'ve been too sick to your stomach to eat.

It also boosts your metabolism, so it helps you loose weight. Obviously, though, just drinking milk and honey isn\'t going to make you lose weight, though, you have to make other changes, too.

Hope that helped.

Processed foods have so many unhealthy things in them. I began to get headaches everyday, along with stomachaches and other annoying symptoms that the doctors couldn\'t explain.

I limited the amount of processed and MSG-containing foods, and BAM! A lot less headaches, a lot less stomachaches.

I\'m not all-natural yet, nor do I think I\'ll ever be ALL-natural (it\'s so hard and expensive!), but I think it\'s the way to be. :D

Weight Gain

The basic funda of weight gain is, consume more than what you expend. ie, depending on how much calories you spend a day, eat high calorie food in larger quantities...
1. Increase your number of meals a day ( eat 5 times a day )
2. Do some workout.
3. Eat proteins ( Chicken is grt )
4. Drink atleast 2.5ltr of fresh water.
5. Have milk, lots of fruits, chocolate and ice creams
6. Eat in time ( Very important )
7. Wake up early morning.

Finally, weight gain cannot happen in a day or two. You need to have a disciplined diet for atleast 3 months. Trust me you will put on 4-6 KGs. Its my personal experience.

I followed the following diet:
Breakfast - Banana, Honey, Milk, Bread/Chapathi with Egg.
Lunch - Rice/Chapathi ( with Chicken/Fish 3 times a week )
Evening snacks - Fruit bowl or Sandwitch with Juice.
Dinner - Chapathi/Rice.
1/2 ltr milk 1 Hr before sleep.

** To eat well you need to expand ur stomach, have enough water for that.
** Very very important, you need to workout daily otherwise you might develop a bad health.

if u want to put on weight

yes u can but that is still not enough to make you gain weight. If u want to put on some weight the healthy way, you should eat 5 small meals a day. For those meals include some protein, veggies, fruits, and you can include those 2 glasses of milk with honey in two of those five meals. Also include weightlifting like 3 times a week so u can gain muscles which will add weight to your body. It will be best to exercise before you eat a meal with protein. Also remember to get lots of sleep. So the key to increasing weight without getting fat is to weightlift and eat lots of protein. I hope this helps you a bit.
