No to Vaseline!

Peppermint is great but it is soooo much better to mix it with almond, jojoba or even extra-virgin olive oil (I use this the most). Please remember that Vaseline is a petroleum product that is being placed on the body...yuck! The chocolate milk idea is great!

I was sitting here drinking tea and wanted something different, so I stuck a candy cane in it, and it was fabulous, so i wondered if there were any health benefits to peppermint, and I was suprised to see just how many. I will keep drinking the tea among other things. Thanks all!

Having suffered from IBS for over 7 years and more recently from anxiety/panic attacks, I\'ve just started taking Colpermin which contains peppermint oil in a special coating (enteric) which should ensure that oil gets released in the appropriate part of the system. The results so far have been very encouraging. I\'d suggest trying this for a few weeks (just one capsule half an hour before a meal).

The key reason behind IBS is stress which peppermint attempts to relieve too.

Good luck.

I mix my essential body oils into Shea Butter. Seems to work well to rub it on. Also have used other light oils such as almond, and safflower. I like the Shea Butter the best. Benny

My family used to farm peppermint years ago. We still have some 30 year old peppermint in a jar that we still use. If you have a cold or if your nose is stuffed up, you can put a bit on a handkerchief and place it in your room. This works very well. My grandmother also put one drop on a spoonful of sugar to help with upset stomach as well as for hiccups. It worked great for me for everything other than hiccups.
