You eat rice? Condi Rice?
You are in trouble men!

Rice itself has nothing wrong, in places with more rain,

you could not have wheat. You eat rice, you have to
understand they are come from hand labor, which means
one
city dweller need support of a bunch of hand labor farmers?
How? One farmer could feed at least 5-6
city-dwellers!.
That is not called economy! kids.
Farmers were doing work with less support and needs, which

means they could not create enough values in market, so
they are out! So they are poor, so they are out of
cities.
No money, with small pieces of land that create almost no
values, like in the jail.
Unless they
find the solutions, and the solutions not really
are in the hands of politicians, economists, bankers, nor

in the hands of uprisors.
Thomas  - 320 lb trying to loose wt   |2009-10-13 09:45:05
I have been changing my diet to be more vegitarian, this has recently included corn meal mush (i like it)
instead of wheat and flour based foods. I included wild and brown rice over white. Most of what I eat is kale
bok choy other greens. I still have a problem with junk food. I use to be the king of junk food so it has
been very hard and not as successfull as I hoped in changing my diet. Junk food is still a plague , do you
have any ways to curb the junk food cravings? I have had bad habits for 20 years and I am treating this like
an addiction... and any other advice.
Jerry  - Junk Food Problem   |2009-11-06 03:33:35
Thomas,2 months ago I started eating non-processed foods. Lot's of fruit and vegitables. I'm down 21 pounds.
I found eating lots of celery in place of junk foods or eating lots of fruit helps curve your appetite. And
lots of water.
Sabir  - Afghan (brown rice)   |2009-10-04 05:13:01
Brown rice which is the most nutritious rice is very popular among afghan foods.
Afghans are the most rice
eating people. we have a dish that is called (kabuli palaw) which is brown rice mixed with shredded carrots
and raisins and cooked under high pressure,, it has an amazing taste and the combination of rice, raisin, and
carrots makes it the most perfect nutritious rice ever.

curls and hipper exstentions ten to fifteen reps three sets of each to start any of these weight lifting
exersizes will help you do not need worry your arms will not get bigger they will tone one has to train
acertain way to get big arms and tis usually only happens with a man.there are plenty of sites on the internet

leg lifts and crunches
charles N  - less rice   |2009-09-21 06:59:18
To loose belly fat, you will need to eat less of rice and noddles. You will never go wrong with beans. Beans
makes you fuller
Paul Telfer  - lose belly fat   |2009-10-07 21:31:03
If you want to lose your bely fat it is going to take time. You will probably have to change your diet you
won,t have to eat less food just better quality food by the way rice is not fattenning I have never seen a fat
Chines. Most fat people don,t eat very often but eat a lot when the do eat thus they tend to over eat and
there body will store the food in the form of fat thus eating more often but smaller meals tends to be
benificial for losing weight.Don,t skip breakfast the energy that breakfast gives you will start you burning
calories do not eat empty carbs white breed, piza, cake or any white flour product small amounts of pasta or
potatoes only plenty of the other vegetables, very little milk replace with calcium and magnesium
supplement, eat butter not margarine even rats won,t eat margarine drink plenty of watter.Stretch often
gently.Don.t do ridicuously intence exercise it will just make you discouraged.Walking, swimming, riding a bike
and light weight training high reps ten to fifteen.Don,t do anything that makes you terribly out of breath
until you are in shape walking five miles burns as many calories as runing five miles and it is not as hard on
your joints.Don,t be in a hurry don,t take pills that you by in the store or lisen to those guick weight lose
programs Good luck

Hi!
I'm Paroma. I'm 21 years old and have recently started to realize that i'm on the wrong side of the
weighing scale!
I'm already 5 to 7 kg above my ideal weight and I don't feel very good about it. So, i have
started walking for an hour, twice, daily.
But i don't know how much i should cut down on my diet.I'm
thinking that i should bring it down to 900kcal a day. Will that be good enough? What else can i do to reduce?

I discovered this site only today, and i'm already hooked!! It is amazing what you are doing here.
It will
be great if you can help me out in this...

Regards,
Paroma.

re: Kirti Kumar Mandalaywala  - horrible diet   |2009-03-31 21:53:41
>>Morning- 1 &
>>1/2 cups tea ( sugarfree)
>>Lunch- 1 to 1&1/2 chapatis, 1 veg subji, cooked rice & tur
dal
>>Evening- 1 cup tea
>>(sugarfree)
>>Dinner- 2 cups milk with 2 chapatis added to it

Your mother is
living on tea, milk, bread, some random vegetables, and beans. This is a dietary disaster and a diet change is
needed. That is a massive amount of carbohydrates that only an athlete would need, and I don't see much
protein in their either. Her diet needs to change to using fat as her major fuel source (calories) rather than
carbohydrates in order to burn fat (once body regularly uses dietary fat as its energy source, it will more
easily use body fat as energy). It sounds like she's getting around 85% calories from carbohydrates, 5%
protein, and 10% fat. It needs to be closer to 35% protein, 50% fat, and 20% carbs.

At the same time her
calories would be coming from more protein and fat, and less from carbs, the quantity she eats needs to come
down as well. It is important to not starve the body. This will only cause the body to try to store fat more
vigorously while tearing down proteins in muscle for energy instead. Luckily, proteins and fat are both more
satisfying than carbohydrates.

Everyone needs protein. Carbohydrates are just an energy source, protein is
what everything in your body is made from, especially muscles. Muscles burn calories even when they are not
working, so having muscle mass helps lose weight. You definitely need to get her eating enough proteins to
where her muscles are not deteriorating further. That is around 0.75 grams of protein per kilogram of body
weight per day.

It's good to have the vegetables from the sabji for their nutrients, but the bread
(chapatis), beans, and rice are mostly just huge sources of calories. Definitely cut these three foods from
her diet. Make sources such as cheeses, chicken, beef, pork, a major part of her new diet. Keep eating the
low-carbohydrate, high-nutrtion vegetables (mostly green, leafy ones like broccoli, spinach, cauliflower) and
have them at every meal with the protein. Fat will come naturally from the meat (don't get lean cuts), cooking
oils, oil salad dressing, and butter.

Weight gain and weight loss is just a simple equation. If you consume
more calories than you expend, then you gain weight. If you consume less, you lose weight. As far as weight
gain/loss is concerned, it doesn't really matter where your calories come from. Keep in mind that your muscles
need protein, you need fat for various body functions, but carbs are just an energy source. The body prefers
using fat for energy, and can replace carbs almost completely (the brain still requires some glucose to
function correctly). Limit carbohydrate intake anywhere you can.

After a checkup, if it's not glandular, look hard at your diet and exercise. You will find the answer here.
Not only will you improve the vehicle that's taking you around this trip, more importantly, the more healthy
flow of chi (from both diet and exercise) will sharpen also your mind and spirit. Put some work in, it's
important. When you can rewire your peptides for your ultimate benefit, you can realize transformation. What
other pursuit could be so important? When you are bigger, you will then turn to helping the network. We are
one, we're all connected. Read Michael Pollan's book "In Defense of Food" and find a group to train
for a sprint triathlon and keep at it, et voila, metamorphisis; butterfly.

Kirti Kumar Mandalaywala  - How to reduce weight   |2009-03-24 22:48:02
My mother, who is 72 years old is extremely obese and must be weighing more than 150 Kgs ( though we had no
opportunity of weighing her)She is unable to walk independently and has to take support (dragging the chair)
for daily morning chores. More than 95% of the time, she remains in bed. As no exercise is possible, she has
not been able to reduce weight.
Her daily food intake since last 2 years consists as follows:

Morning- 1 &
1/2 cups tea ( sugarfree)
Lunch- 1 to 1&1/2 chapatis, 1 veg subji, cooked rice & tur dal
Evening- 1 cup tea
(sugarfree)
Dinner- 2 cups milk with 2 chapatis added to it

Can anyone suggest me how she can reduce her
weight.

try to detoxify your grandma. even if a person eats very little, it will still be stored as fats because the
body system is clogged with toxic and other poison and the body cant function properly. i tried some good
detoxification in the form of powder mix with water then plenty of water to drink the whole day. toxic and
poison in the body is released thru bowel movement, urine, sweat.

i was once also clogged with toxic and my
system is also clogged.

light massage daily all over body maasage will help in the circulation of the blood
to help it release the toxic out of the body.

i tried teas for bowel movement, but the powder mix in water is
more effective to me. the powder im talking about is not a tea but combinations of fruits and other plants to
give so much bowel movement

for a healthy weight reduction, if you are able. . . .walk. Start out with what you can do and try to walk
for an hour a day. Also, I stopped eating ALL white foods; i.e. white rice, white bread, pasteries, etc. and
ALL refined food.
I eat brown or wild rice - yummy.
Also, watch your caloric intake and eats lots of fruits
and veggies. I hope the best on your weight reduction.
It may take a little time, but don't give up.

Ceasar's army was a veggie army. Cereals provide complex sugars your body can use days later during physical
activity. Of course there are proteins you can't get from carb rich veggies but if they are a large source of
your calories, you will feel more energized and healthy in no time.
