Amazon, Wal-Mart and Whole Foods Market are not the only large corporations that have ventured into organic products. Many companies having revenues over billion dollars have started organic operations through their subsidiaries.
Given below is a list of some of these large corporations with their brands/subsidiaries:
- Heinz owns numerous companies or brands of organic products. Some of these include Hain, Shari Ann's, Farm Foods, Millina's Finest, Earth's Best, Casbah, Westsoy, Walnut Acres, Health Valley, Arrowhead Mills, and Breadshop.
- Kellog owns Kashi Cereal and Morningstar Farms/Natural Touch.
- Pepsi owns Tostitos Organic.
- Coca-Cola owns Odwalla, which produces natural and organic juices.
- M&M Mars owns Seeds of Change.
- Unilever owns Ben & Jerry's organic and Ragu Organic.
- Dean’s Foods Co. is the largest dairy company in the US. It owns Horizon Organic, White Wavel Silk and Alta Dena.
- Kraft Foods acquired Back to Nature which is a manufacturer of natural cereal products.
- General Mills sells frozen fruits, vegetables, etc., through Small Planet Foods, which has the brand Cascadian Farm.
- Colgate-Palmolive sells natural oral and personal care products through Tom's of Maine.
