Organic Espresso Coffee
Espresso Coffee is the most popular form of coffee consumed around the world. How nice it would have been if this popular coffee could be made healthier too? Yes! It can be! All you need to do is to prepare some Organic Espresso Coffee and enjoy. Those who know what an espresso coffee is must be confused at the term Organic Espresso Coffee, as there is no specific variety or blend of coffee called Organic Espresso Coffee.
What is this stuff then? Let us dig.
- Organic Espresso Coffee: The term “Espresso” used in Espresso Coffee is not about any variety or blend. It is just another way of preparing or brewing coffee irrespective of the variety or blend used. It is also about the extent of grinding. An Organic Espresso Coffee is the espresso coffee made with organic coffee. So, any organic coffee can be made into Organic Espresso Coffee, provided that it is perfectly roasted, suitably ground, you have an espresso machine and the temperature of the hot water used is just right.
- Things to Take Care of: When you are going for Organic Espresso Coffee in particular, please take care of following:
- Make sure not to put anything non-organic in your espresso machine or in your cup. Make sure the sugar, the cream, the milk etc., and not the coffee alone, are organic because that will justify the cause for supporting Organic Espresso Coffee.
- The extent of roasting plays an important role here. Although it depends upon personal taste that whether the beans will be light roasted or dark roasted, but very dark roasted beans should be avoided because they lose their aroma and taste. Also make sure that the beans are not roasted long ago.
- Preferably, fresh ground Organic Coffee should be used for Organic Espresso Coffee. Coffee ground long ago looses its flavour and taste.
- It will taste best when you drink it right after it is prepared, i.e. within a few seconds, or you will miss the true espresso.
- Where to get a true “Espresso”? For a shot (a small cup of Espresso) of original espresso, you need to visit Italy, the motherland of Espresso. But getting an organic espresso can be a matter of luck. For those who have an outlet of Starbucks within their reach, you may visit and order for a shot of Organic Espresso Coffee and need not worry because such a reputed coffee giant will not cheat you with organic. But if you need it more frequently at your home, you will need a good Espresso Machine, a bag of organic coffee beans and an expert Barista (if you can afford one) or you yourself should be aptly trained in turning out some good quality espresso. The quality of espresso coffee can be judged by the “Crèma”, a thick creamy layer floating on your coffee.
- Choosing the Organic Bean: As I have told earlier, any organic coffee will do for organic espresso coffee. But choosing from a lot of organic beans can be a bit tricky. The best deal would be to pick up some Organic Shade Grown beans, since shade grown beans taste the best (majority agrees with that).
- Price you pay: Truly speaking, the cost of Organic Espresso Coffee varies greatly depending upon the variety of the organic bean used (a Blue Mountain may be the rarest as well as the costliest), the certification of organic (there is price for everything), the vendor selling it (the bigger the name, the costlier it is), the barista (some Espresso shops run by the name of Barista they are having and there is a price for it), the place (the prices may differ in the United States from that in Italy), the culture (it will be cheaper where there is an Espresso culture around) and finally on whether you drink it outside or make it at home. Brewing it at home may be far cheaper with a one time investment on a good Espresso Coffee machine.
- Market: It is very difficult to say where the market for Organic Espresso Coffee is going, because it is not about the coffee but about the way it is prepared. Instead, it is easier to say that the market share of Organic Coffee as a whole is growing fast (whether they use it in Espressos or otherwise). So, indirectly, we can say that market of Organic Espresso Coffee is growing. Thanks to the growing awareness!
- Benefits: Apart from that rich, sensational taste of espresso coffee; you have the added benefits of it being organic. You need not worry about those chemical residues from the artificial fertilizers and pesticides or those genetically modified organisms entering your body with each shot. It will be more pleasing for you to know that this is encouraging protection of the environment too, as no artificial fertilizers, pesticides, flavours or taste makers were used in preparation of your Organic Espresso Coffee.
- Last Doubt: Those die-hard fans of espresso coffee may have a little doubt left in their minds that being organic makes any difference to the taste of espresso coffee. Let me give them a big “No” on that. Being organic does not at all make any difference. On the contrary, your coffee may taste better if your organic coffee is shade grown too. So, hats off to Organic Espresso Coffee and its fans. Enjoy your shot!
