11 Effective Home Remedies for Acid Reflux

The home remedies for acid reflux are apple cider vinegar, ginger roots, fennel seeds, lavender tea, fruits, and vegetables. More than that, a good regular diet is also helpful in decreasing the negative effects of acid flux.

Acid reflux is the backward flow of the stomach acids into the throat. When this happens, you may get a sour taste in your mouth or regurgitate food. In some cases, you may also feel a burning sensation in your chest (heartburn). Acid reflux is closely related to gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), though the terms don’t always mean the same thing.

You may chew half a teaspoon of fennel seeds after your meals to get rid of acid reflux disorder.

Aniseed and Lavender

A mixture of aniseed and lavender should be consumed with distilled water to treat acid reflux. It is recommended to use only half a teaspoon of the mixture, as it is very potent.

Baking Soda

The consumption of baking soda is also a useful home remedy, as it helps to increase the pH level and reduces acid reflux.

Healthy Diet

A healthy diet containing fruits like apples, bananas, pineapple, and papaya, along with vegetables like carrot, cabbage, and others are also helpful in keeping acid reflux at bay!

Spices

You may also rely upon spices like cinnamon, mace, and cardamom as good home remedies for acid reflux treatment.

Chamomile tea

Having chamomile tea 3-4 times a day between meals would help to relieve inflamed mucous membranes in the digestive tract.
