Ingredients

  • 2 cups of water
  • 1-2 tbsp dried boldo leaves
  • 1 tsp of honey

Instructions

  • To make boldo tea, add two cups of water to a saucepan and bring it to a boil.
  • Add 1-2 tablespoons of the dried boldo leaves (whole).
  • Reduce the heat to a simmer and cover the saucepan.
  • Allow the tea to steep for 5 minutes.
  • Strain out the leaves and serve hot. Add a teaspoon of honey for sweetness, if desired.

Boldo Tea Side Effects

There are some unpleasant side effects of drinking too much boldo tea, including ascaridole toxicity, gastrointestinal distress, bleeding disorders, obstruction of the bile ducts, and complications in pregnancy.
