While pregnant, I experienced various episodes of constipation. My doctor recommended me to eat black raisins, as they are beneficial for women during pregnancy. They prevent the body from absorbing water and create a laxative tendency. The high fiber content in them makes the bowel movement easier. Raisins are rich in vitamin A that also increases the hemoglobin level and helps cut down anemia.
