Not really, oregano essential oil contains a compound called ‘carvacrol’ which is known to lower high blood pressure. However, breathing in oregano oil through steam inhalation can increase the heart rate and thereby raise the blood pressure level. Therefore, it is essential to seek medical consultation if you have high blood pressure and are starting to use oregano oil.
