Can vitamin c help breakdown phlegm and ease acid reflux?

It is a misconception that vitamin C rich foods worsen acid reflux. Food ‘rich’ in vitamin C may worsen the condition, but foods with a ‘lower’ amount of vitamin C can treat the condition. Watermelon, mango, banana, broccoli, and avocado, which contain some amounts of vitamin C can ease down GERD (Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease). I prefer to have lots of watermelons and bananas.
