Curry leaves are able to affect the insulin levels positively and that is how they lower blood sugar levels in diabetics. I don’t know how true this is but grandma used to say that during her times, people used to drink a curry leaf decoction instead of going behind formal medicines.

Curry leaves work for diabetics because they contain flavonoids and flavonoids are anti-diabetic substances. These compounds can really help to inhibit the process of breaking starch into glucose in diabetic patients. If you are okay with the taste, just eat 10 raw curry leaves everyday and you will surely witness a difference.
