Most definitely! Oil pulling helps draw out the bad bacteria in your mouth. The sort of bacteria that it pulls are the ones that cause
-Tooth Decay
-Bleeding Gums (Gingivitis)
-Bad Breath

Hey Patrick,
Thanks for the information.
Is it okay to do the oil pulling thing even with my braces on?

After dealing with tooth pain and swelling resulting from a recent filling I decided to start oil pulling and I am so glad I did. I immediately noticed a change and within a few days of oil puling (3xdaily) the pain and swelling were gone. Then I decided to use the oil on my hair and scalp and now I have the most shiniest and softest hair, like I did when I was in my 30's (I am 61). I also gave a little oil to my 4 mo. oldl kitten and she has the most softest fur ever. I cook with the oil too. I started ingesting a tablespoon daily but I started feeling fatigue so I cut back and now I use only a teaspoon. I love coconut oil. My only regret is I wished I had discovered the health benefits of coconut oil earlier. Last -- I got rid of my microwave!!!
