Sarsaparilla is a plant, whose root is used to make medicines for treating psoriasis and other skin diseases, rheumatoid arthritis, water retention, kidney disease and for increasing sweating, among others. You can use it by preparing fresh root tea by using dried sarsaparilla root by boiling water and pouring about one cup over one teaspoon of the roots. Let the mixture steep for about 30 minutes, then drain the liquid and you can drink it during the day. You can also find sarsaparilla capsules and supplements in the market. The dosages vary on the basis of their brand and concentration.
