Fish oil is extracted from fatty fish such as salmon, tuna, and mackerel. According to FDA, fish oil supplement called Lovaza helps lower cholesterol, but there is no conclusive scientific evidence. It has been found that every 100 grams of fish oil contains 766 mg cholesterol.
