It is recommended to take at least 1 to 4 grams of fish oil per day to lower the risk of triglycerides. Every 1 gram of fish oil capsule includes omega-3, docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), and eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA). For any adult individual, it is recommended to take fish oil capsules which provide 700 to 1000 mg EPA and 200 to 500 mg of DHA daily.
