Once the cabbage plant reaches a length of 5 inches or more, transplant the plant to your garden. Transplanting will not harm your plant in any way, but will support its growth. Now fertilize the plant for 3 weeks and water it almost every week until it is 2 inches deep in water. Make sure the soil is kept moist at all times.
