How to dry fresh basil?

The basil leaves are cut from the stem, separated, and cleaned properly. The leaves are laid on a paper towel and patted dry. The leaves are then collected in a bunch and left to dry. It would take about 2 weeks for the leaves to turn dark green and brittle to touch.
