Wood apple is a good fruit for digestion. Crack open its shell: the pulpy part can be eaten raw with or without sugar. It can be blended with water or coconut milk to make it as a beverage. It is also used for making jelly and chutneys. However, excessive consumption of wood apple may cause pain in the abdomen.

This thing has a shell like covering which looks soft actually but its not. Be careful before you just much or bite that thing as it is not like a normal apple fruit
