How to make burdock root tea?

Clean the burdock with a brush and peel it off. The shredded burdock root is to be kept outside and dried for 4-6 hours. It is to be fried without oil and retained on medium heat to roast for 10 minutes. The fried burdock is then kept in a container, and hot water is poured. Let it sit for 3 minutes before drinking.

Sounds like a lot of work to do to make this tea. What is wrong with a normal tea preparation
