Ginger is grated into a measuring cup, and the cup is filled with hot water. The tea should be left unattended for 10 minutes, after which it is strained and stirred with sugar. Lemon and maple syrup can be added to increase the flavor. If the taste is strong, then more boiling water can be added to balance the flavor.
