The coconut oil is heated in a pan, and two tablespoons of amla powder are added to it. It is heated until its brown. Once heated, leave it to cool. The powder will settle down in a moment so the oil can be collected and applied to the scalp while it is still warm. Leave on for 30 minutes and wash with cool or lukewarm water using a sulfate-free shampoo.

You can simply add 2 tbsp of gooseberry powder in coconut oil. I normally use virgin coconut oil which is solid so I melt it in the microwave for around 30 seconds and add 2 tbsp powder in it. I massage my hair with the mixture for around 10 minutes and then wash it after an hour or two. If you’re heating the oil make sure to not apply extreme hot oil to your scalp.

I also add castor oil to the same mixture sometimes. I’ve heard castor oil is great for hair growth but cannot apply it directly as it’s too sticky.
