I read the article too. The man had got his arms and leg amputed due to the infection. It was shocking to me.

People have to take injections after a dog bite. Doesn’t that prove that dogs saliva is harmful to human health. Usually, when we have pets we forget about these things as we consider them family but it is important to keep this in mind. dogs’ and cats’ saliva can cause sepsis, meningitis, and post-splenectomy infection. This is because they carry a bacterial pathogen called Capnocytophaga canimorsus. This bacteria is very harmful to humans. Therefore, make sure to get your dog vaccinated. Also, make sure to have a routine visit to the vet.
