Extra virgin oil is very good for your skin as it is unadulterated and is rich in vitamins and antioxidants that prevent aging. It acts as a great moisturizer for the skin and promotes cell repair. It is also an excellent make up remover and helps in soothing irritation.

It is a great moisturizer and exfoliant. Make sure you use cold-pressed, unrefined and organic extra virgin olive oil because all the other varieties are good for cooking, not for skin. Make sure not to apply the concentrated form of the oil.I have found it to be a good skin care product.

Only unrefined variety has the essential vitamins, antioxidants and other minerals present in it, which is very good for skin health. I mix olive oil with a few drops of lemon juice to use it as a make-up remover. A few drops of lavendar oil with olive oil is a good moisturizer too. A few minutes of massage and there I get a glowing skin.
