Eating raw lemons can add various nutrients to the diet. A medium sized lemon has fewer calories and no fat. It also provides a good dose of potassium and iron. One can eat raw lemons but carefully, as the acid in fresh lemon can damage the enamel on the teeth and make them susceptible to cavities and decay. Those suffering from allergies and diseases of the kidneys and gallbladder should also avoid it.
