Calcium intake is essential for bone health and also cardiovascular health. But having a lot of calcium supplements leads to kidney stones, prostate cancer and heart attack mostly in menopausal women. It is also widely known that excessive calcium is associated with the risk of dementia in women who are older and have had a stroke in the past.
