No, Cardamom is it’s most widely used name. However, it is frequently spelt as cardamon or cardamum. Having originated from the Indian subcontinent, it is commonly termed as ‘Elaichi’ amongst Hindu/Urdu speaking nations.

Indians call it elaichi. Otherwise cardamom is a universal name for it
