Thyme is a herbal disinfectant and also somewhat known as an anti-inflammatory (it's commonly used for sore tonsils). When dealing with arthritis you want to take your overall diet into consideration as well; i.e. it should not be the only thing you take to help you. However, thyme is definitely an asset when dealing with rheumatic pain from arthritis.
