Is it safe to eat apple seeds?

No it is not, apple seeds contain minute amount cyanide, which is a poisonous compound. But don’t worry if you have mistakenly consumed a couple of them, the dosage needs to be really high to feel the symptoms.

You can eat it if you don’t chew it. The seeds have pretty thick coating so they easily pass through without causing any harm. But if you end up chewing seeds of 20-30 apples, you may either suffer from severe paralysis or die.
