Coconut oil is beneficial in treating dryness of the body, hydrating and soothing the skin, and acts as a conditioner for the hair when applied. Coconut oil helps in removing makeup from your face without causing any harm to the skin. It also acts as a moisturizer and cleansing agent for your body.

Just started using it last week as topical skin care, and WOW! What a difference. Especially on face. Also has helped hubby's psoriasis in just 3 days of use.

When we were little everyone in Trinidad used coconut oil. Before you take a shower, massage hair and skin with coconut oil. Check out the results don't be amazed it's normal. Only advantage l have is that I grow my own coconut in my backyard.

After using coconut oil as a moisturizer for about one month, a fingernail that has been split for about ten years is no longer split and is growing.

When I visit my native place, coconut oil is the best option when heaters are not working due to power cuts. Coconut oil acts as protective layer and provides warmth actually and it keeps you skin glowing ultimately

My friend who is a crazy nature lover who does a lot of experiments with essential oils, spices and herbs. She always told me about the benefits of various oils. I never took her advice seriously. One fine day I visited her house directly after office. We had a girl’s night out plan. Unfortunately, that day I had a crazy argument with my boss in office because of which had got a bad head ache.
I reached her house and told her that in order to stay awake with them, I needed to catch up on some sleep. She immediately rushed to get a coconut oil bottle and started applying on my head. At first I resisted but eventually I was tired of arguing any more. So, after she finished applying hot coconut oil to my scalp, she gave a head massage for about 5 minutes. I went into deep sleep with a span of seconds. I woke up after 3 hours feeling fully refreshed. My head ache had disappeared, I had a sound sleep but my head was all sticky. I went for a shower. After washing and drying my hair I was surprised to see that my hair had become smooth and bouncy. I was fascinated by this oil.
After this incident, I started using coconut oil for various other things too. I started applying the oil to my body, especially during winter nights. It gives a tough competition to moisturizers! It also heals cracked heals. I say this because I saw the effects on my grandma’s heals. I also read about its internal benefits and started using it for cooking as well as raw consumption.

“I once travelled to India and had a short stay in Kerala. My friend had suggested me to go for their Ayurvedic massage. I did that and it was amazing. I realized how important oils are in Kerala. Since I am an avid traveller, I usually keep a day just to explore the culture and talk to the locals. So, while I was talking to a lady in that small village of Kollam, she told me the secret of her beautiful black thick hair! I was amazed to see that the only thing she every applied was coconut oil. She said that her father never allowed her to spend money on beauty products and this was their only product for hair care.

When I returned from my trip I did some research and found out that the coconut can be used for a number of things. I can be used as a skin moisturizer, burn marks lightner, head massaging oil, make up remover, curing joint aches, and so much more.

In fact I read an answer on this forum where someone said that she used coconut oil on her daughter’s burn marks and saw it lighten over a few weeks. It is amazing to see people write such results as it encourages more people to use natural remedies! Kudos to this forum.”
