Coconut oil has a number of uses, these range from its use as a cooking oil to its use as a massage oil. Coconut oil is used as a topping on smoothies, salads, popcorn, and more. It has also been famous for its use as a beauty and cosmetic agent, all because of the amazing nutrients that it holds.

Coconut Oil is Great! It's wonderful on popcorn too. Much better than butter. I've gotten rid of the butter/ margarine and oils. I only like the coconut oil and it's natural and great for everything.

Started cooking with Trader Joe's organic coconut oil and loving it! Overall I think I love the benefits most.

Buy the organic kind at the health food store. Put a tablespoon in oatmeal with pineapple and mango - delicious! Also make your own cocoa with 1T. cocoa, 1T oil, boilng water, pince of salt, milk and sweetner. Very healthy. I just started using it and hope to see good results - luckily I love the taste of coconut.

Getting into Natural remedies, I've tried coconut oil for my hair recommended by my Hawaiian friend, it is absolutely fantastic, some shampoos and conditioners have a tendancy to ruin your hair. I am having a teaspoon a day and I pray that this is sufficent enough for healthy arteries and being cholesterol free.

I'm not an expert; but I personally wouldn't mix the two (ACV & Coconut oil), I'd wait a few minutes and then take it, unless you are consuming the oil in your food. I don't think they would clash, but it's a lot on your system & could upset your stomach. When brushing your teeth, simply apply a small amount to your toothbrush, once it's in your mouth the oil will melt. You should see results in a week if you are doing everyday. Have you heard of oil pulling? If not look it up, has great benefits and will see results even faster.

Coconut oil becomes thick at low temperatures. Before using it for topical application, you can put the required quantity on your palms and rub yours palms with each other to melt it.

I have just started using coconut oil and to make it so its more like a creamy butter than oily I mix it with coco butter and use a electric mixer and blend until it forms stiff peaks. You not only get the benefits of the cocoa butter but it helps to apply better when using it as a hair mask or serum or as skincare.

Do not store in fridge... degrading will occur. Oil is the same whether in liquid or solid state - here in New York it is always in solid state except for a few deep summer weeks each year... it's liquid state is the result of your room tempature, some would consider you 'lucky' as we have to heat it to get it to a liquid state.

if your room temperature is 32c then it is above what is is for it to be solid. It states in the article: Why is coconut oil solid?: Unlike most other oils, coconut oil has a high melting point – about 24 to 25 degress Celsius or 76-78 Fahrenheit. Therefore it is solid at room temperature and melts only when the temperatures go high. Hence, if you buy a bottle of coconut oil and find it solid, don’t think that there is some problem with it. Coconut oil is like this only. And of course, don’t keep it in your refrigerator. Hope this helps!

I recently started using coconut oil for a tooth ache which worked well. Then I put a little oil on my hair and scalp, waited an hour or so and washed my hair as usual and to my surprise at 61 I have the hair I had when I was in my 30's -- soft, shinny -- beautiful I love this oil.

I found the easiest way to consume coconut oil is to throw it in my coffee or tea. To apply on skin or hair, place a small amount in the palm of your hand and warm up by rubbing hands together.

My parents have used coconut oil for the whole of their lives- for cooking, hair care and skin care. Now they are in their 70's and 80's. They have never had a serious health problem, no high blood pressure, no diabetes, no such diseases and they sleep good. They eat food prepared in coconut oil and do normal physical chores in their vegetable farm. I have not even seen them in any mental stress.

Yeah...Completely justify. Now a days coconut oil has been used as fuel, medicine, water and in many ways. Used as glucose as well in world war 2. Not only for that but in India it is used as cooking oil. and if you visit south Indian you will see that many of the dishes are depending on coconut oil.

Hi, I was introduced to coconut oil by my sister, bought a small jar about two weeks ago and it is almost gone. I am a heart patient so I am interested in it for its healthy heart benefits. I like to snack a lot so I use it as a spread on my whole wheat toast in stead of butter and it tastes great, I have also used it in place of Olive oil to fry my potato's and I must say, they taste much better that with other oils and the food doesn't burn as fast. So far I am sold.

I've been in a lot of pain for 4 days, threw up the first day and now the 4th day. My gums look like they are being chewed away lots of white all along inside, outside of gums and roof. I just remembered I have some liguid coconut oil. I swished and within a few minutes I began to feel relief. I swished for a total of an hour. Feels so much better. I hope it's going to heal it completely and save me a trip in the a.m. An amazing difference.

Been using coconut oil, cream and milk in all and everything. In my coffee and also as a snack. I make myself some coconut sqaures with almond nuts, raisin and dates when I want to nibble on in between snacks. Lost weight and keeping off the weight. It lowers the bad carb intake and energy levels is always at a good plateau.

Always stick with unrefined. Refined can mean a variety of things that may have been done to the product. Unrefined is the purest form.

Totally this! I also use it in this way. I use a small amount and rub it into may hair after a shower, while it is still damp. It has a little bit of hold to it. I use a damp washcloth to evenly spread it through my hair and remove any excess. Barbers have complimented me on the texture of my hair because of this. Also I put some on my face and forearms when I get out of the shower. I use about a pea sized portion of it on each arm. I let it soak into my skin for a few minutes and then remove the excess with a wet/damp washcloth. As a result people mistake me for someone more than 10 years younger :)

I don't really like the way coconut oil tastes, but I do use it on my skin. I've been using it for about a year, and it works so well for my face, and the places where I have eczema. When I first started using it, I bought an organic brand from the grocery store, but it was so greasy and literally just sat on top of my skin. Also, has anyone found a way to hide the coconut oil flavor in their food? Other than smoothies? I really want to start eating it, but I don't like the taste.
