Healthy food is very important to control or prevent type 2 diabetes. The foods which are rich in carbohydrates such as bread, grains, pasta, milk, and sweets, should be avoided. A variety of foods must be added to the diet, but the portion of those foods should be controlled or measured. Foods with artificial sugar like sodas, candies, and chips, and foods rich in protein and saturated fats should be avoided or consumed in lesser quantities.
