If intake of black pepper is not in moderation, it can cause gastrointestinal disorders, respiratory diseases, and a burning sensation in the stomach. Direct use, of black pepper, must be avoided as it can affect the lungs as well as cause skin irritations. Excessive consumption can lead to dangerous conditions such as miscarriage, edema, and dyspepsia.
