Consuming more than 2 tablespoons (or the prescribed amount) of coconut oil can cause many side effects. It can have different side effects for different people, these include diarrhea, acne breakout, headache, thyroid, candida, and liver damage, among others. The side effects can range between severe and mild.

Just a note regarding nausea. Do not start taking table spoons of coconut oil, start with 1 teaspoon for 1 week and slowly increase to a tbs otherwise you will feel sick.

I believe coconut oil only bad for you when cooking with it when it is heated over 350°. When you buy coconut oil it says not to heat it over a certain temp. Olive oil is the same, turned into bad fats when cooked on too high heat. There are sunflower oils and seasame oils that say on the label for up to 400° temps, many coconut oils you dont want to heat over 300-350 degrees because it will lose all it nutritional benefits.

Depends on the amount that you consume right. 2-3 spoons a day wont cause harm
