Riboflavin or vitamin B2 deficiency can be treated by orally administering riboflavin in the dosage of 2 to 10 mg three times/day until the symptoms and signs improve. Afterwards, the dose is brought down to 2 to 4 mg once daily for the final phase of recovery. In case the oral supplements fail to deliver the desired result, riboflavin injections are given daily.
