Vitamin B6 is an essential nutrient, but the intake should not be more than 1.5 mg per day. Vitamin B6 toxicity is caused by taking supplements, mega doses of medication and consumption of foods which have a high concentration of this nutrient. Vitamin B6 toxicity can lead to nerve damage and neurological problems.
