What do turnips look like?

A highly nutritious root vegetable, turnips are grown extensively in tropical climates. On the outside, turnips are globular in shape and have a purple or red top part with a white lower part. The interior flesh is entirely white in color. The roots and leaves are generally trimmed before selling in markets.
