What is the difference between arugula and spinach?

Though arugula and spinach mostly appear similar in texture and appearance, there is one aspect that separates them. Arugula needs to be mixed with other greens such as Boston or Bibb lettuce before consumption. Spinach, on the other hand, doesn’t necessarily need to be mixed with other greens before being consumed.
