Noni and durian are both subtropical fruits, but they are different from each other in many ways. Noni is known as cheese fruit, while Durian is known to have the smell of decaying onions and turpentine. Noni plants bear fruit all year round while Durian’s fruits are obtained once or twice a year.

So here’s how both differ
Noni
– Grows on shrub or shot tress
– Turns white in color as it ripens and does not have sharp thorns
– It grows all round the year
– It is comparatively smaller fruit
– It is used as a medicine and also eaten majorly during famines
Durian
– Grows on tall trees
– Turns yellowish in color as it ripens and has sharp spines
– It is a seasonal fruit
– It is comparatively bigger in size
– It is used in various local Asian cuisines
