Quinoa was first found and cultivated in the Andes and is known for its starchy seeds. It is a plant belonging to the goosefoot family. Wild rice is different from quinoa in the sense that it can grow unrestrainedly, and packs in a low calorific and carbohydrate content, and a high fiber and protein content.
