A species of seaweed (Fucus vesiculosus), bladderwrack is a source of fucoxanthin, which aids in increasing the metabolism rate through the thyroid gland. The recommended dosage of bladderwrack powder for adults is 1.1 milligrams only. The dosage of bladderwrack is not recommended via mouth as it may cause thyroid malfunction.

I didn’t know bladderwrack can cause thyroid malfunction. It’s surprising.

I read it on some website that 1/4 teaspoon 1 – 3 times daily is okay. Is that right?

Do not randomly shoot for dosages. It is better consult your doctor for the same.
