Will colour highlights ruin the quality of my hair?

It totally depends on your hair and also the products you use. I coloured my hair twice and I could see my hair reacted differently both the times. The first time I coloured my hair was from the top, crown-blonde highlights, and I cannot even describe the amount of hair loss I had and the spoilt texture of my hair. It took about 8 months and a lot of home remedies for my hair to get back to its usual texture. I was too scared but with some guts got my hair coloured again. This time I did it because I really liked that look on my cousin. It was the ombre style. As this was far off from the roots, I didn’t experience any hair loss neither did the texture change.
