Salads are great for summer lunches. Easy to make and easy to carry whether it is a weekend brunch picnic or a weekday office lunch. This classic tomato basil salad is light and refreshing.

How To Make Tomato Basil Summer Salad Recipe

A refreshing, delicious and nutritious salad for the summer!

Ingredients

For the salad dressing

  • salt and pepper as per taste
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar

Instructions

  • Cut the cherry tomatoes into halves.
  • Place the cherry tomatoes, mozzarella balls, and basil leaves in a bowl.
  • In a bowl, mix together all the ingredients. Drizzle the dressing over the salad and your delicious yet healthy meal is good to go!

Notes

For a vegan preparation, you can omit the fresh mozzarella. The salad tastes great with just tomatoes and basil too. If packing in a lunch box, keep the dressing separately.
