You can use other herbs like rhubarb root, peppermint, cascara, oregano, grape root, aloe or buckhorn bark tea to make laxative teas. You can also make a refreshing iced tea variant of the same, by adding ice cubes and a slice of lime. Additionally, ensure you wash all utensils, pots, kettles and strainers that you will be using to make the tea, with baking soda or soap, to remove the old residue, and mineral deposits, if present.
