Ingredients

black rice

diced onion

slivered almonds

Instructions
Melt butter in a pan over medium heat.
Add black rice, diced onion, and almonds. Cook and stir until lightly roasted, for 5 to 10 minutes.
Add water and chicken cube, bring it to a boil.
Reduce heat to low flame, cover, and simmer until rice is fluffy and liquid is completely absorbed. Allow 25 to 30 minutes.
Notes
Always remember,
1 cup of black rice yields approximately 3 cups of cooked black rice.
