Ingredients

  • 4 corn cobs
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted
  • salt to taste
  • 4 lemon wedges optional
  • sour cream optional

Instructions

  • First, preheat grill over high heat (400 to 450ºF).
  • You can shuck the corn if you don't want the husk. Alternatively, you can remove the silk and leave one layer of husk. Don't discard the silk; you can use it to make corn silk tea.
  • Brush melted butter on the corn, and then sprinkle with salt.
  • Grill and cover. Cook for 8 to 12 minutes, flipping the corn every 2 to 3 minutes to char each side.
  • Serve grilled corn on the cob with a squeeze of lemon. You can also serve it with sour cream.

Notes

You can use different seasonings like a mix of paprika and lemon pepper. You can also make your own seasonings by mixing your favorite spices. Basting it with honey and putting on the grill can also give an unusual caramelized flavor. But do keep an eye for grill flare-ups as honey has a tendency to burn.
