There are a few different ways that Aloe Vera can help treat dry eyes; the natural moisturizing quality of aloe is beneficial, but so are the antioxidants and other minerals that are found in this valuable plant. You can apply aloe vera gel to the eyelids overnight, and the moisturizing effects should help your eyes retain their tears a bit better. Also, you can simply add aloe vera juice to your daily liquid intake, and allow it to positively effect even more parts of your body. Do not, however, place aloe vera gel or juice directly on the surface of the eye, as this could be painful or make the problem even worse.
